I tried to narrow this list down to five items, but I just couldn’t make it work. I used so many awesome products over this past month. Some brand new to the market, some new to me and one updated favorite. Keep reading if you want to know more about my January picks.
It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-in Lite | NYX Micro Brow Pencil | NYX Worth The Hype Mascara | Wet-N-Wild Photo Focus Concealer | EcoTools Perfecting Blender | Tweewzerman Lash Curler | The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter | The Body Shop Shea Body Butter
WNW Photo Focus Concealer $3.99: I’m a huge fan of this creamy concealer. It is perfect for 10 minute makeup looks since it’s so easy to work with. I quickly blend it out by dabbing my ring finger around my eyes and set it lightly with translucent powder. It covers darkness pretty well and doesn’t set into my laugh lines. I don’t notice any creasing or caking throughout the day either. No wonder I grab for it every morning before heading to work. Oh, and did you see the price? $3.99 people!
NYX Worth The Hype Mascara $8.00: I’m always on the hunt for an awesome drugstore mascara. I’ve always been disappointed, until now. This mascara is worth the hype. I have sad little lashes, but this stuff plumps them up while also lengthening. It is a true black that doesn’t flake, budge or smudge over a hectic workday.
NYX Micro Brow Pencil $10.00: I don’t know why I waited so long to try this brow pencil out. It is creamy, pigmented, easy to use and super thin. It leaves me with polished, natural looking brows. It also has a solid little spoolie on the opposite end. I know it seems silly, but it’s the little things in life guys.
Tweezerman Lash Curler $15.00: I thought all lash curlers were created equal. Wrong, wrong, wrong. This beautiful rose gold curler grabs all of my lashes and curls them without pinching or pulling. The pad doesn’t stick to lashes or give them an overly bent look. I just love it!
EcoTools Perfecting Blender $5.99: Out of all the blending sponges on the market, this one may be my favorite. It has two flat sides (one larger area for contouring and a smaller area for under eyes and around the nose). It also has a classic rounded end so you can “bounce” foundation into the skin. I love the texture of this sponge once it is wet. Not too firm, not too soft. I also appreciate the bright pop of green on my vanity.
TBS Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter $16.00: I’ve talked about my fondness for this cleanser before here. It keeps my skin clean, clear and soft. What’s not to love?
TBS Shea Body Butter $7.00: I’ve had extremely dry hands lately due to cold temperatures and lots of hand sanitizer (It’s flu season and I’m a teacher). This thick balm hydrates my hands, and any other dry patches, instantly. It also smells absolutely amazing! I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the body butters from TBS.
It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-in Lite $18.52: I’ve been a fan of It’s a 10 products for years now. I normally grab for the original leave-in treatment in the purple bottle, but I think this lighter formula is better suited for my fine hair. I love that this product deeply nourishes my hair without leaving it limp or dull. It leaves my color treated hair feeling soft, smooth and looking shiny. Worth every penny.
