Oh, how I love a good red lip. Want to feel sexy? Red lipstick. Want a confidence boost? Red lipstick. Want to feel glamorous? Red lipstick. Going for a classic look? Red lipstick. You get the point.
Every girl should own at least one red lipstick that makes her feel absolutely fierce. So, without further ado, let’s chat about some of Colourpop’s crimson beauties (including their new lux lippies) and glosses that fit the fierce bill.
I know this post is about red lipstick, but can we take a moment to look at this fancy packaging? The rose gold is so pretty and feminine. I also love the little etched star details. These are by far the prettiest lipstick tubes I have ever owned.
I can’t get enough of these reds! The formula is buttery, pigmented and glides on like a dream. Just a few swipes and your lips are fully covered with a creamy matte finish. Reds can easily get patchy, but not these beauties. Just even, rich color perfection.
I purchased these as a set when they launched, but sadly, I no longer see the trios available online. Each lux lipstick retails for $7. Yes, you read that correctly. $7 dollars.
Lux Lipstick in Get a Room. This bright orange red instantly peps me up. I’ve always been afraid of orangey reds, but this one is just stunning. It’s the perfect red for spring, summer or any season.
Get a Room topped with Rever. The picture doesn’t do this combination justice. In person, the satin lip added more depth and dimension to the lipstick. Wear them separate or together, either way you’ll look red hot.
Lux Lipstick in On Repeat. This is my favorite red out of the whole bunch. It is a deeper red orange (think brick red). I love how wearable this shade is. Perfect for day or night.-I’ll be wearing it on repeat (sorry, I couldn’t resist).
Lux Lipstick in On Display. Wowza! On Display is a true, classic red. Perfect for those days when you’re rocking a winged liner and feeling full glam.
On Display with Ambush concentrated in the center. Adding Ambush to the center of the lips added depth and deepened the color. I like to add Ambush on top of lipstick because my hand is not steady enough for liquid lipstick (i.e. I’m messy). This combo is meant for a date night out on the town.
I hope this inspired you to go out there and rock a red hot lip.
