Romantic Wedding Guest Look

Reasons I LOVE wedding season:

A) you get to celebrate love (I’m a sap, I know!)

B) receptions a.k.a parties

C) wedding cake, obviously.

D) I have an excuse to be extra girly.

This dress is all things feminine and girly. With a floral pattern, pretty pastels, ruffles, bow and soft flowing material it is perfect for weddings (or showers). Find similar styles here, here and here.

For spring and summer weddings I like to keep my makeup soft, fresh and romantic. I live in Texas, so while outdoor weddings are absolutely lovely, your face can quite literally melt off in the heat and humidity-not a good look. This plays a huge part in the beauty products that I select and ultimately choose to wear. None of the items pictured above specifically state that they are long wearing, but I didn’t have any issues.

Foundation: Beautycounter Tint Skin Hydrating Foundation in linen. I love this foundation for SO many reasons! It is light, yet still provides enough coverage to cover redness and even out skin tone. I especially like it for warmer months and outdoor events since it doesn’t feel heavy on my face.

Concealer: Tarte Shape Tape in fair neutral. I use the smallest amount of this stuff on my eyelids to prime and under my eyes to cover darkness. It does cause my under eye area to become dry, so I seriously use the teeniest-tiniest amount possible to blend in with my foundation.

Highlighter: I used Mary-Lou Manizer from theBALM cosmetics. I love this trio because I can mix-and-match all three highlights to achieve the perfect glowy cheek.

Blush: Milani Rose Powder Blush in Tea Rose. What a lovely matte blush. Just enough color to make my cheeks pop and it blends like a dream.

Eyeshadow: Wet-N-Wild Color Icon Quad in Silent Treatment. I love this quad. Neutral taupe colors are my definitely my thing. Read more about it here. I kept the eye look lighter by applying the brow bone color to my lids after spraying my brush with setting spray. It really helped the shadow adhere and stay pigmented. Then, I used the eye lid color layered over the transition shade for my crease. Personally, I think it turned out really nice and light for an outdoor wedding.

Eyebrows (not pictured): NYX Cosmetics Micro Brow Pencil in taupe and set with Glossier Boy Brow in blond.

Mascara: Thrive Causmetics Liquid Lash Extensions in Brynn (black). This mascara is AMAZING! You can read more about it here.

Eyeliner: Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eyeliner Trio in nude eyes. I’ve repurchased this set many, many times. The formula glides on easily and the colors are perfect for any neutral lover. I used the dark brown shade to line my lash line and outer V.

Setting Spray (not pictured): Milani Make It Last Setting Spray

Fragrance: Marc Jacobs Daisy

Lips: Milani Amore Shine Lip Color in enchanting. I am thrilled that gloss has made a comeback! The formula on this one is buttery without being sticky. Also, it provides rich color that applies opaque.

I’ve posted about these little beauties before. Read more about my love for them here. I think all three of these quads would be perfect if you’re looking to achieve a soft, romantic eye look.

Can you see that gorgeous highlight?! It melts perfectly into my blush and provides just enough shimmer. I’m loving my super soft neutral smokey eye, too.

See how pigmented the lip gloss is? I’m loving this pink paired with my neutral makeup.

Hair: I used the beachwaver to curl my hair. It is the only tool I use on my hair at this point because it is super simple to use and pretty much foolproof. I felt like my dress and makeup deserved wavy beach hair.

Hope this provided some wedding style and makeup inspo for you! What is your go to wedding look?
